My Switch just arrived, and I must say that I'm completely sold on this console. Seems to be worth the price, even with as few games as it currently has.

As a mobile console it's amazing. I was a bit skeptical of the 720p screen but after seeing it in person, it's won me over. No complaints in that regard. I couldn't believe how amazing these games look on a mobile console.
My 240p 3DS is going promptly in the trash can.

As a home console, it's less amazing but still pretty great imho.

Mariokart 8 Deluxe seems to run without noticeable stuttering at 1080p. This game is great in docked mode.
Zelda's resolution is noticeably lower and the frame rate could use some work. Don't know the exact numbers but there ya go. I would rather play this game in mobile mode, considering the frame rate is better. But that's just me speaking as a PC gamer. Someone who primarily plays on console might not mind it in docked mode.

I find the controls to be very comfortable, but I must have baby hands. Some people say the joy cons feel too small. The pro controller, however, is definitely a step up. Level of comfort is on par with a x360 controller. A little bit more comfortable than a ps4 controller. Probably because I prefer staggered control sticks.

The online features are pretty basic. You can add friends you meet in game or by friend code. You can also take screenshots for social media. They also got rid of miis so thank Jesus.

The eShop seems to have a surprisingly decent amount of titles to check out. I don't think anyone's going to run out of fun games to play for a while. I mean shiet mane, Zelda alone will last me a year. Nintendo also releases periodic "news" videos to keep you up to date on the latest releases. I w
ould have liked to see some extra apps like Netflix or YouTube though. It's purely a gaming machine at the moment.

The console is still it's early stages. I expect big things to come, considering the huge sales numbers Nintendo is managing. I can't wait for shit like Monster Hunter, Fire Emblem, or Smash.
In my opinion, there is currently enough to justify the price. And that means something coming from a broke college student.

    Tenouttaten. Would buy again.

Any fellow early adopters out there? What do y'all think about the Switch?
I've added my FC into my signature.
Hit me up for some Mariokart action!

I agree with everything. I waited in the morning on launch day to get one, no regrets. Played the hell out of Zelda, not quite as much as I would have liked but I'm waiting for the dlcs to come out to replay it on hard mode and shoot for that 100%. Recently got Mario kart as well, loving it as well. Played snipperclips with my wife, highly recommend it. I will add you tomorrow when I get on.

My only complaint right now is that i would love an achievement system. That's just me personally.

Also, I can't wait for all the games that are coming up. Arms looks fun, Mario looks fantastic. Hoping to see a smash bros announced soon. I'm especially waiting for the virtual console to be released. So many games to play then.

I would have to strongly agree. I"ve been extremely impressed with my switch now that I have it in hand. I was a bit skeptical, and with some of the negativity thrown out there with the joycons, screen scratches due to docking station, dead pixels etc... I was very much on the fence to the pull the trigger. However, I am so glad I did as even with the limited library currently, between Zelda and MK8, the potentiality of the Nintendo e-Shop allowing for a robust handheld to contain some of my childhood favorites, I do not regret my decision. There is just not enough time for all the games I want to play and now with the switch it makes it that much harder!

I do recommend a tempered glass protector, especially if you aren't careful, like I'm not. No worries about scratching then, and I found a regular screen protector to be difficult to put on.

I haven't experienced any of those "common" problems either.
I can't imagine owning a mobile device without a tempered glass screen protector though. That's just asking for trouble.

I hate screen protectors! For touch screens it ruins them. But switch is not touch is it?

It has a touchscreen but it's not really ustilized.
I'm not sure what you mean by it being ruined by a screen protector. I never notice any difference when I use tempered glass.

Were you using tempered glass? Sounds like you're talking about the cheap plastic ones.

Mendien likes to slide his phone on his butt cheeks, so he needs the smoothness of glass
